My Youngest Daughter Made it to the Finals of NAMCYA 2011

This  is Jessa, my youngest among the girls. She started her ballet lesson at the age of 5. I could still remember her first outfit was just sock and leggings. Her first studio was at the top of our barangay hall in Maybunga Pasig. Her passion for dancing grew as she gets older. Jessa is now on her third year at Philippine High School for the Arts, Los Banos , Laguna.

NAMCYA or National Music Competition for Young Artist is Founded in 1973, NAMCYA was created by virtue of Presidential Proclamation 1173, which declares the period between 26 November and 12 December every year as National Week for Young Artists. The NAMCYA seeks to encourage young artists to excel in music composition and performance and to preserve, develop and promote Philippine music as art and as a handmaid of cultural development. The project aims to discover young artists in the field of choral singing, piano, chamber music, family ensemble, and indigenous instruments.
