This is Jessa, my youngest among the girls. She started her ballet lesson at the age of 5. I could still remember her first outfit was just sock and leggings. Her first studio was at the top of our barangay hall in Maybunga Pasig. Her passion for dancing grew as she gets older. Jessa is now on her third year at Philippine High School for the Arts, Los Banos , Laguna.

Osang Soliven & I
Since Osang Soliven viral performance of bombastic in the X-factor
Philippines ,
watching her perform on event was always a pleasure.
I recently meet Osang on one of the events that I attend.
Osang was not only accommodating with regards to photo opportunity but has time
to make chika to us. I found out that Osang was a member of a parish choir during
his younger years.
Osang discover his unnatural talent during one of his gig
shows. Wanting to attract customers, they tried to do something out of ordinary.
Osang discover that singing songs that kind of rock and roll on the side is
more lucrative than hitting high notes like that of Regine Velasquez.
Now, Osang is more in demand on shows performing rocks songs
for the entertainment of his audience.
Here are the videos that I was able to take during his performance
at the Bellevue Hotel in Alabang
Hope to see you again Osang

She is now in her 2nd year Bachelor in Music at
the Conservatory of Music UST. Jem is a Violin I member of USTSO and being her mom, it
gives me great honor to be able to watch her play with the USTSO.

Preparing for Your Daughter’s First Period : a must know how
The beginning of your daughter’s period is a truly monumental occasion. For
her, it’s a time of significant physical and emotional changes; for you, it can
be an overwhelming yet nostalgia-inducing realization that your little girl is
now growing up.
Guiding her through this pivotal time will ensure that she develops a positive attitude towards the changes happening to her body, which she will carry until adulthood. Moreover, being open with your daughter will assure her that you are someone she can approach when she encounters any issues or problems.
Letting your daughter know that getting her period is a normal and healthy part of growing up will dissolve all her worries and help her become more comfortable as she undergoes this important phase. Here are some pointers to help you prepare for this critical time in your daughter’s life.

Phsa ballet undergrad 2012
I wake up at 5 am the wee morning of Aug. 26, 2012. I was so excited not only it will the card giving day at the Philippine High School for the Arts but it’s the undergrad ballet recital 2012 as well. Jessa is already in her 3rd yr and as part of their curriculum, she and her batch match will choreograph a dance number fro their lower years. Yes, she will surely do something wonderful along with her batch mate that’s why I’m so excited. I could still remember the first day when Jessa took her ballet lesson. She was only wearing a sock for her foot protection, now she’s spinning on her toe shoe. How the years had gone by.
I was able to take a video for almost all of the dance number

Candice Adea wins international ballet tilt
With Four Daughters that love Ballet and two of which are Ballet Student at Phil. High School for the Arts , I always keep myself updated with whatever news that has a connection with Ballet.
Recently, a Filipina made our country proud and its not in sports but in the art of ballet.
Candice Adea, Ballet Philippines’ principal dancer, won First Prize, Senior Women’s Division at the recently concluded Helsinki International Ballet Competition, one of the most prestigious ballet competitions in the world. The competition drew 69 dancers from 28 countries, including USA, China, Japan, Finland, Canada, Italy and Cuba, among others.
Her partner, Jean Marc Cordero, also a principal dancer of Ballet Philippines, was a semi-finalist in the Male Seniors Division. He won a Special Jury Award for Best in Pas de Deux Technique (partnering).
Adea’s win caps her illustrious career—in 2010 she won the Silver Medal at the USA International Ballet Competition in Jackson, MI, touted as the Olympics of ballet. In 2011, she won special awards at the Boston International Ballet Competition (the Maris Liepa Award for Artistry) and the Third Prize at the Seoul International Dance Competition. With Cordero, she also won the Lead Role in a Russian Ballet Performance in Boston.
Adea is the first Filipino to be awarded First Prize in a top tier international ballet competition (composed of competitions in Varna, Bulgaria; Jackson, MI, USA; and Moscow, Russia), and joins the list of Filipino ballet dancers who have received international recognition.
As in all their previous competitions, Victor Ursabia, Ballet Philippines’ ballet master and CCP Dance School Director, stood as the pair’s coach and mentor. Adea and Cordero are completely Philippine trained. Both Adea and Cordero studied at the Philippine High School for the Arts (Adea was a Ballet major, while Cordero was in Theater Arts) and they both graduated with a Bachelor of Performing Arts Major in Dance from De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde.
Adea and Cordero’s next performance in the Philippines will be in Ballet Philippines’ Crisostomo Ibarra, where they will reprise their critically acclaimed roles at the last performance with live music, on June 24, 2 pm at the CCP Little Theater. They will also perform in Songs on July 6-8 at the CCP Main Theater, where they will premiere a pas de deux by Augustus Damian III.

Rock your Mommy at Power Plant Mall’s “I Love My Super Mom!
Because she’s Super Woman and she’s done wondrous deeds for the entire family, and more, what better way to say Thank You to Mom and show how much you appreciate her than to bring her to Power Plant Mall on Mothers’ Day and let her experience Power Plant Mall’s “I Love My Super Mom!”
There’s a photo exhibit featuring Power Plant Mall Moms and all the big and little things that spell Mother’s Love at the South Court. The exhibit runs from May 7 to 13 and will surely warm the hearts of those who know the magical bond between Mother and Child.
There’s a Flower Fair from May 11-13 at the North Court where all the best and freshest blossoms of May are on display for the picking. The better to say “I Love You, Mom” when the spirit moves you.
On May 13, Sunday, chic fashion brand Tyler will hold a styling workshop for all Moms, with free gift certificates to win so joiners can apply their newfound fashion sense immediately.
